Question.
How do I ask this without sounding like a smartass?
There may be something I am missing, but I honestly am curious.
If the Golden Mosque was built in the year 944 AD, then why is there rebar sticking out of it's rubble?

If the White House was built in 1800, then why does it have electric lights?
I would think that electric wiring is far more easy to install post-construction than rebar is.
And why WOULD one install rebar post-construction?
