Not sure I buy this one.

From Drkoop.com, here's one for our Nature vs. Nurture Department:

[N]ew research again confirms that the more older brothers a male has, the more likely he is to be gay.

This one has me a bit confused. They're claiming that this is a win for the "nature" side of the argument, but it seems to me that growing up with more older brothers versus growing up as the oldest would be a "nurture" issue. It's all much ado about nothing anyway - whether it's nature or nurture by the time you reach sexual maturity your sexual urges are ingrained; your sexual behavior is a matter of choice and neither is anyone else's business unless you choose to make it so.

From what I gather, it has to do with the biology of having older, biological, brothers.

Even if you were born into a family with older brothers but adopted out to an otherwise childless family, the trend seemed to be there, and if you were the only biochild of someone but were adopted into a family full of older brothers, the trend wasn't there.

So it seems to have something to do with what the older biobrothers did to the mother's body.

Leech out some of the testosterone, maybe.
