As I recall, Talent ran on Social Security reform. I guess for a while libertarianism was a single-issue ideology.
Anyway, it's no more bizarre than George Allen being described as a libertarian -- which I've also seen.
I'll probably vote for Talent as the lesser of two evils in November, but I'm still glad I voted for his opponent, John Ross, the DEMOCRAT, (www.john-ross.net - he's far closer to being a libertarian than Talent will ever be) in the MO 2nd District Congressional race in 1998.
